Concept
FOUNDED IN KYOHO 3RD YEAR (1718).
IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 300 YEARS SINCE AIZU'S RICE AND PURE WATER,
WHICH ARE BLESSED WITH NATURE,
HAVE BEEN USED TO MAKE SAKE,
PROCLAIMING THAT "THE GOODNESS OF AIZU IS THE GOODNESS OF SAKE."
Thinking about Aizu means thinking about people, thinking about sake, and thinking about the times.
Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the Aizu region has four seasons: spring when flowers bloom all at once, hot and humid summer, beautiful autumn with colored leaves, and cold and snowy winter. Rich blessings are given from the dark nature.
I am proud of the Aizu region and the people of Aizu. The catchphrase, "The goodness of Aizu is the goodness of sake," expresses the "spirit of Aizu."
